Jones Homes Yorkshire to create over 300 homes across six new sites
The Yorkshire division of housing developer Jones Homes has acquired six new sites as part of the company’s ongoing growth.
The purchased land, which will deliver over 300 new homes, is situated in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
David Ruffley, regional director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, said: “Our Yorkshire division’s footprint expands far beyond the county boundaries, as we continue to expand our presence across the East Midlands as well as Yorkshire.”
Work has already begun on four of the sites: Harworth, Nottinghamshire; Van Dyk Village in Derbyshire; Century View in Golcar, West Yorkshire; and Heather View in Hade Edge in the Holme Valley, with construction due to start soon on the remaining two sites in Sheffield and Bolsover.
The acquired sites will be developed according to their geography and local landscape, with David explaining: “The development sites we have purchased are diverse in location and in the range of homes we will be delivering.
“At Van Dyk Village we will be creating a new village community with its own distinct character. At Simpson Park in Harworth, we are immersed in the regeneration of a former colliery site, building new homes and creating jobs.”
As well as creating jobs in the communities of the newly purchased sites, the firm has also expanded its own land-buying team in anticipation of further acquisitions to come.
