Nottingham law firm welcomes new head of employment

East Midlands law firm Fraser Brown has announced the appointment of its new head of employment, Clive Day.

Based at the firm’s Nottingham office, Clive will be advising clients on a full range of employment law issues, from local employment disputes to large-scale employment litigation and complex corporate restructures.

The Oxford University alumnus has over 20 years’ experience and is well equipped to fulfil the role, having most recently been employed as legal director in the employment team at Gateley Plc.

On his new role, Clive said: “Fraser Brown is one of the top law firms in the region and the team is known for their approachable style and legal excellence.

“They have a fantastic, loyal client base and specialisms in areas complementary to my own. Given its reputation, and the exciting opportunities within the firm, it was an easy decision to come on board.

“It’s a crucial time to be working in employment law with issues such as the gender pay gap, gig economy, and #metoo campaign, getting much needed and deserved attention. I’m pleased to be leading a team that represents a fresh offering in the East Midlands legal marketplace.”

Clive was listed in the Legal 500 (2017) as a ‘go-to person for complex technical issues’ and is known for his experience in employee restructuring, discrimination and whistleblowing issues and insolvency and ‘transfer of undertakings’ (or ‘TUPE’) advice.
