Deloitte has announced a substantial number of promotions across the Yorkshire and North East region, including four new partners and 10 new directors.

There have been three partner promotions in Deloitte’s Leeds office: Richard Bolton, who has been promoted in the international tax practice; Matt Bainbridge, who has been made a partner in financial sector audit; and Anil Gupta, who has been appointed as a debt advisory partner in the financial advisory practice.

All three have been with Deloitte for the whole or majority of their careers so represent home grown talent. Upon his partner promotion, Matt has taken up a role leading the firm’s Isle of Man financial services practice.

There are promotions to director for five of Anil’s colleagues in the financial advisory team in Leeds. They are Jonathan Levitt (forensic), Henry Pearson (debt advisory), Kate Rosie (restructuring services), Adam Sookia (debt advisory), and Richard Sweetland (transaction services).

James Izzard also becomes director in corporate tax, Mark Lewis in audit and Steve Mills in the consulting team.

Lucy Redmond, Front

Sheffield creative agency Front has promoted Lucy Redmond to account director.

Lucy has worked at Front for just over a year, and the promotion will see her continue with her client-facing work for brands including Legoland Discovery Centre, Costcutter Supermarkets Group and Redrow.

She will also now lead on the collaboration between the agency’s account management and creative teams working alongside Frankie Frankie De Giorgio - Front’s senior creative.

Lucy said: “Being made an account director is a real milestone in my career. I joined Front last year and have enjoyed how my role has grown and developed. My focus will continue to be on adding value to my team, the wider business and our clients.”

Richard Lord and Jonathan Noake, G+E Wealth Management

Leeds and York based G+E Wealth Management has appointed two new financial planners.

Richard Lord and Jonathan Noake both join from the high net worth arm of Lloyds Private Banking. They will be focusing specifically on high net worth clients, with personal wealth of over £1m, excluding property assets.

Richard Lord commented: “I am thrilled to join Garbutt + Elliott, expanding their existing wealth management business and service offerings.

“Jonathan and I have worked together for many years and are committed to providing outstanding financial planning to our clients, with an emphasis on bespoke advice and strong relationships, always putting the client at the forefront of our work.

Matt Cheetham and Liz Dutton, Harris

Leeds-based construction marketing agency Harris has announced two senior promotions within the company.

Matt Cheetham has been named as senior designer, while Liz Dutton has been promoted to the position of senior PR account manager in recognition of the work they have done to support the company’s growth.

First joining the company as an account executive in 2012, Liz currently heads three key accounts for the company’s PR division and oversees the work of junior members of the team.

Matt joined the company in 2017 having previously worked as a freelance designer, and in his new role will support design director Neil Craven as well as taking the creative lead on key projects and managing the day-to-day workflow of the team.

Neil Craven said: “As we grow as a business, we want to ensure that we have the right people in key positions to give our clients the level of personalised, hands-on service they have come to expect from Harris.

“Matt exemplifies this approach, taking the lead on key projects and helping junior members of the team with their professional development.”

David Barker, Winston Solicitors LLP

David Barker has joined Winston Solicitors LLP as head of insolvency.

He has over 20 year’s industry expertise in insolvency law and is recommended for administration, liquidation, bankruptcy and insolvency litigation.

David said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Winston Solicitors. My plan is to continue to generate a substantial proportion of my own work whilst supporting the existing talented and respected team.”
