Teesside law firm ‘navigates’ complex HR issues with new service

Stockton-based Endeavour Partnership has launched a dedicated business HR tool- the only one of its kind in the North East.

As a result of increasing client requests, the firm has now established an employment law support service. ‘Navigate HR’ is designed by in-house experts for small to medium sized businesses that don’t have a dedicated HR function or- for those that do, looking for extra support and up to the minute advice.

Navigate HR is composed of three main elements: a helpline, a review service and an annual update.

The helpline provides unlimited access by email or telephone to a team of specialist employment lawyers who can provide pragmatic advice and practical guidance, ensuring a business’s employment function is being managed in an efficient and legally-compliant way.

The review service provides a free health-check of the employment documents used across the company including employment contracts, policies and procedures.

The update service means that this employment documentation is reviewed on an annual basis by a specialist employment law solicitor and amended in light of any legislative changes or case-law updates.

Theresa Carling, Senior Associate at Endeavour, said: “Our employment team is regularly instructed to assist with both general and in-depth HR queries in relation to disciplinaries, sickness absences or potential redundancies. Our clients recognise the danger of ‘getting it wrong’ especially where there are more complex HR issues at stake and this has prompted us to offer this unique service - the only one of its kind in the region.

“What sets us apart is our ability to offer a bespoke HR support package, designed by legal experts, and with the backing of many years of legal experience offering a range of flexible and fixed cost options to deal with day to day personnel needs.”

A current client of the service, Anthony Long, Partner at Vintage Financial Planners, said: “We have used Endeavour Law’s Navigate HR solution now for over a year and can highly recommend their professional and friendly service for manging our HR needs. Jess Maine has been able to provide feedback and recommendations on our employee handbook which has proved to be invaluable in making sure we met the needs of our employees and our business.”

Endeavour Partnership recently revealed a new management structure as its managing partner announced his retirement. Paul Bury - a founding partner - helped to establish the firm in 1999. Lee Bramley has been appointed as Endeavour Partnership’s new managing partner, having been with the firm for over 17 years. Lee, who previously headed the Commercial Disputes and Insolvency departments, took over the role at the start of April.
