Nigel Atkinson, WiredScore

Global real estate rating scheme WiredScore has appointed Nigel Atkinson as head of engineering - UK.

With over 15 years’ experience in the TMT sector, Nigel has worked across fixed and wireless infrastructure and building the proptech offering of firms and developers.

Nigel joins WiredScore from Node Technologies, where he was chief operating officer. Pior to this he held the role of project director for Lendlease for 13 years, managing the technology in property team.

David Joerring and Tom Digby, Atom Learning

Edtech company Atom Learning has made two appointments to its senior team.

The firm has appointed David Joerring to lead the company’s business development and growth team, meanwhile Tom Digby has joined the firm as lead developer.

David joins Atom Learning from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was a strategy consultant, with a particular focus on working with the public sector and government.

Tom Digby has eight years experience as a front end developer, joining from the Stylist Group where he was the head of digital product.

Atom Learning co-founder Jake O’Keeffe commented: “I am delighted to announce these senior hires as we rapidly scale our platform within the education sector.

“David brings fantastic experience within the public sector and government as we look to develop our offering across the UK State sector and overseas.

“Meanwhile Tom’s huge experience in digital product development will be invaluable as we ensure Atom Prime becomes a vital component for schools looking to build excellence in results for key stage 2.

“Both of these appointments will help us develop our mission to democratise learning.”

Russ Cummings and Andrew Jameson, Downing LLP

Investment management firm Downing LLP has appointed Russ Cummings and Andrew Jameson as advisors.

Russ joins the firm as an advisor to its venture business and a member of the investment committee. He has had a long-standing career in the investment industry, being chief executive officer of Touchstone Innovations plc, and prior to this, a director for Scottish Equity Partners and 3i Group’s UK Technology team.

Russ is also currently an independent non-executive director for British Patient Capital, part of the Government backed British Business Bank, and Chairman of Lignia Wood Company, a UK-based manufacturer of sustainable modified timber.

Andrew Jameson joins Downing in an advisory role with an emphasis on governance and infrastructure investments. Andrew’s previous positions include Head of Investment Banking, EMEA, for Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, where he oversaw the renewable energy and infrastructure teams.

Prior to this, he was head of the infrastructure team at Royal Bank of Scotland International. Andrew is also a prominent swimming commentator for the BBC.

Abdul Hummaida and Martin Moran, Concentra Analytics

Concentra Analytics has appointed Abdul Hummaida as CTO and Martin Moran as non-executive director.

Abdul brings with him over 17 years of experience across numerous startup and blue chip brands including AppSense, UpSide Energy and IBM, as well as key technology projects for Apple, Samsung and KPMG.

Bringing 25 years of experience within the technology sector to his new role, Martin has knowledge of growing SaaS businesses such as Salesforce and InsideSales.com.
