New jobs created as HSBC funds London School of Management Education campus
One of the UK’s largest banks has funded a new campus for the London School of Management Education (LSME).
HSBC UK provided a six-figure package to the school as part of its £14bn lending fund to support management education schools in the UK.
The new campus, in Gants Hill, has created six new job opportunities. The LSME was previously based solely out of its Ilford campus, which will continue to provide health and social care, teacher training and business management.
HSBC UK’s regional director for business banking in North London, Jeff Richards, said: “We have watched the school grow from a small institution into the highly regarded education provider it is today.
“This new campus is testament to the popularity of LSME’s courses and teaching practices and we are in no doubt that the team will achieve their ambition in attracting more students from a variety of backgrounds and communities.”
Dr Ravi Kumar, executive director at the LSME, said: “The funding from HSBC UK and added support from our relationship manager Akel Al-Ansari has enabled us to introduce an exciting new facility offering students and staff an improved learning and teaching experience.
“Our expansion will also put us on the right path to reaching our future objectives for higher student engagement with employers through our community outreach programmes.”
