Hot off the press: Say hello to Bdaily's newest correspondent

What better way to kick off 2020 than with an exciting announcement - we have a new addition to the Bdaily team!

We’re thrilled to welcome our new Bdaily correspondent, Chloe Shakesby.

Chloe joins the Bdaily team at our head office in South Gosforth, Newcastle, on a full-time permanent basis, and will be working alongside Jane Imrie on the editorial team reporting on news from across the North East, Yorkshire and London.

Previously at women’s writing magazine Mslexia, Chloe held the position of social media and community facilitator, managing the magazine’s social channels and arranging online members’ events.

Prior to her time at Mslexia, Chloe completed a journalism degree at the University of Gloucestershire, where she also worked on the university’s communications team managing their social media channels and creating shareable videos.

Chloe is also currently doing a masters degree in creative writing, with aspirations to become a published author.

Chloe has replaced Rebecca Wayman, who was with Bdaily for over two years creating news content for the platform’s key regions.

Commenting on her appointment, Chloe said: “I’m really excited to be working at Bdaily, as I haven’t had much chance to put my journalistic skills to work, and it’s so interesting to be in the midst of the goings-on of so many different areas.”

Bdaily director Martin Stanley added: “We’re delighted to welcome Chloe to the Bdaily team.

“It was immediately clear to us that her enthusiasm for writing and keen interest in business would make her the perfect fit for our editorial operation here.”
