Dan Holmes, Fulcrum

Multi-utility infrastructure and services provider Fulcrum has appointed Dan Holmes as head of compliance.

Dan joins Sheffield-based Fulcrum after nine years at JCB, where he gained experience in combined safety management and operational control throughout numerous high-risk operations in the UK and globally. Before joining JCB, Dan held a senior H&S role at Bolsover District Council.

Dan started his career in health and safety in Local Authority based enforcement roles with Amber Valley Borough Council & Derbyshire Dales District Council and went on to become H&S manager at the Royal Agricultural Society’s Stoneleigh Exhibition Centre, followed by a short spell at the National Self build & Renovation Centre.

Dan commented: “Fulcrum is filled with enthusiasm, and there is a positivity around the business that shines through and really shows the dynamic nature of the people here.

“The business is clearly gearing up for growth, and my priority will be to ensure the safety of our customers and our teams as we move forward together.”

Danny Smith, Banner Jones Solicitors

Law firm Banner Jones Solicitors has appointed Danny Smith as solicitor.

A member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society, he brings with him experience specialising in redundancies, as well as the preparation of settlement agreements, contracts of employment, policies, and staff handbooks.

Danny will help the firm’s employment law team manage a surge in enquiries fuelled by the coronavirus pandemic relating to the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention scheme and changes to company policies and procedures, as well as company restructures.

Commenting on the appointment Katie Ash, director and head of employment law at Banner Jones, said: “This last few months for business owners has been a tough one, and as we look towards the latter half of this year we know that many businesses may need additional employment law support to deal with the challenges ahead.

Deepa Shah, Journey Further

Performance marketing agency Journey Further, has appointed Deepa Shah as non-executive director to its advisory board.

Formerly the CFO at Publicis Sapient and Omnicom-owned Hall & Partners, Deepa is currently an active mentor for The British Library and NatWest.

Deepa has won multiple awards, including Acquisition International Magazine’s Technology CFO of the Year 2020 and 2018 CFO of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards, and earlier this year founded her own management consultancy, Lab Eight.

Emily Roberts, EthOss Regeneration Ltd

Dental company EthOss Regeneration Ltd, has appointed Emily Roberts as administrator.

The role will see Emily play a pivotal role in supporting customer orders as well as the day-to-day running of the company, which specialises in producing a synthetic bone graft material for the dental implantology sector.
