Bryan Mottershead, A.D.D. Express

West Yorkshire logistics firm A.D.D. Express has appointed Bryan Mottershead as business development manager.

Having previously held roles at UK and international haulage companies and UK pallet networks, Bryan also served in the British Army, serving his last post as a member of the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team in Woolwich, before starting his logistics career as a driver with Todmorden-based James Shepherd Transport.

Bryan will help the site reach its goal of operating at full capacity, transporting 4,000 pallets per night.

Dave Fairbrother, managing director at A.D.D. Express, commented: “With over 35 years’ experience in logistics, Bryan is the perfect fit for A.D.D. Express and it is great to have him on board.

“As a veteran of the industry, Bryan has held a wide variety of roles and gained in-depth operational knowledge of pallet networks. That experience is valuable for building relationships with customers, understanding their needs and how we can exceed those needs from an operational perspective.

“A.D.D. Express Ltd is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and with Bryan joining the team we are confident that we will see significant growth during this milestone.”

Bryan Mottershead added: “My role is to develop new business, working alongside the directors and management team to lift the customer base to the next level and increase the freight moving through our new site in Rochdale.

“I’ve held nearly every role in the industry, from driver to director, operations to sales and business development, and my operational background is of real benefit when talking to prospective customers.

“I have been kicking down doors for a long time, so I’m quite well known in the industry and I enjoy the different challenges that each day brings, as well as that sense of achievement when it goes well.”

Commenting on the new hires, Front’s creative director Frankie de Giorgio said: “Diana and Jonny joining the team further strengthens our creative output.

“With a strong 2020 and with a very positive 2021 starting it’s a great boost to the entire Front team.”

“I see my experience as a great fit and look forward to building on Synergy’s success to date.”

Paul Parkinson, CEO and Founder at Synergy Car Leasing, commented: “Synergy has enjoyed an incredibly exciting growth journey in recent years and it’s fantastic to welcome David to our senior team as we enter the next phase of our growth. He’s a highly respected CFO and finance professional with a wealth of experience and knowledge in our sector.

“We operate in a fast-paced, competitive and highly regulated marketplace and I’m confident David will hit the ground running to achieve great things for the future of our business.”

Daniel Priestley, The Growth Guys

Marketing firm The Growth Guys has appointed Daniel Priestley as a director.

Founder of Dent Global, international entrepreneur Daniel is also an author and professional speaker.

In addition to providing strategic advice to the co-founders Karl Sandor and Paul Fernandez, Daniel’s involvement will provide The Growth Guys with direct access to participants of the Dent Accelerator Programme for Small Enterprises.

Commenting on his decision to join as a strategic director, Daniel said he believed that the company’s “unique and targeted” approach to digital marketing was “exactly what was needed” to help smaller organisations and upstarts navigate an online community that is ‘increasingly crowded’.

He continued: “We live in an era where everything is done online. We socialise, work, and shop online.

“On the plus side, that means entrepreneurs and smaller businesses that were previously limited in terms of reach and audience have far more scope to peddle products and services, but it also means that those with the biggest budgets are most monopolising the space, and are far more likely to be able to get noticed and be seen.

“Working with hundreds of businesses that fall into this category year after year as part of the Dent accelerator programme, I know how big the market is for this sort of offering, and I’m excited to be working with Karl and Paul to help bring what they have to offer to a wider audience.

“They’re knowledgeable, down to earth and easy to work with. They’re also business owners, so they know exactly how important their work is in helping other business owners and entrepreneurs to embark on their own growth journey.”

Paul Fernandez added: “We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming Daniel to the team. Within our first year of business we have seen exponential growth and demand for our services from all sorts of innovative and forward-thinking businesses that recognise the role that digital marketing can play in achieving their goals and ambitions.

“In these strange times, the businesses that are going to thrive are the ones that recognise the value of the clients and customers that they already have, while also putting the right amount of energy and effort into acquiring new work. And that’s very where we come in.”

Karl Sandor added: “Daniel’s experience and expertise are a perfect addition to our existing offering and will help to further position us as the go to growth marketing agency of choice for our clients, and to the network of entrepreneurs and business owners who are part of the Dent network.”

Caitlin Wyllie, ACD&B

Independent creative agency ACD&B has appointed Caitlin Wyllie as graphic designer.

Caitlin secured a year’s placement from 2017 to 2018 at ACD&B as part of her degree course at the University of Leeds.

After graduating with first class honours, Caitlin returned home to commence her new role as an in-house graphic designer with gifts and gadgets retailer, Gift Universe Group (formerly Menkind), where she was responsible for creating print and digital designs including web, packaging, POS, digital banners and social media assets.

Following increased demand for its services, ACD&B has appointed Caitlin to provide its clients including NorthEdge, JLA, and Bespoke with creative design ranging from branding, artworking and animation. Caitlin will be based at her home in Fulham, West London.

Managing director Chris Parkinson commented: “Caitlin has a natural talent for creative design and a great chemistry with clients. With increasing demand from retained and new clients, we needed to expand the team.

“Through each lockdown the team has adapted to remote working seamlessly and it made me realise that I didn’t need people sitting in the office to deliver excellent service. I needed the right person with the right attributes and talent.

“It was no longer a requirement for them to be able to commute to the office. Caitlin is perfect for the position and I’m delighted to welcome her back to the team.”

Caitlin added: “It was my ambition to return to an agency as it gives me the opportunity to use my creativity to its full extent, and as a young designer develop my skills and learn new ones.

“I kept in touch with Chris and when the role for a new creative designer arose, I jumped at the opportunity.”
