Colin Fitzpatrick, Robson Laidler Accountants

A highly experienced accountant who has specialised for many years in forensic accounting and expert witness work has joined Robson Laidler Accountants’ fast expanding team as the firm adds a new service line to its offering. Colin Fitzpatrick has joined the award-winning firm of accountants and business advisors as a consultant, bringing with him a number of new clients and contacts.

Robson Laidler managing director Graham Purvis said: “Forensic accounting requires a specific skillset and the arrival of Colin and his clients gives us a welcome boost in this area. His skills will complement the investigations work we already do.

“Colin is a highly experienced forensic accountant who has acted in over 500 commercial or HMRC disputes and as an expert witness in legal cases over more than 30 years. His decision to join Robson Laidler provides further evidence of the growing attraction of us as a firm that recognises and rewards talent.”

Scott Clarke, Katy Clark & Jess Ross, Naylors Gavin Black

A buoyant North East commercial property market is supporting a string of promotions at independent consultancy Naylors Gavin Black, with several new jobs also in the pipeline.

Naylors Gavin Black is strengthening its leadership team with the promotion of Scott Clarke and Katy Clark to the board table as partners in the business. In addition, experienced surveyor Jess Ross has been appointed as head of office agency after six years with the firm.

Naylors Gavin Black is a leading property consultancy and was named by Estates Gazette as the most active industrial agent for the North East in its EG Radius league table. It represented Newcastle-Gateshead at the international property conference MIPIM in early 2022 and counts large PLCs, institutional investors and local authorities amongst its clients

Michelle Keeton, AlphaGraphics North East

Teesside-based print and marketing company AlphaGraphics North East (AGNE) has appointed a dedicated account director to support its growth and develop its automotive marketing services.

Michelle Keeton has an extensive 30-year career in print, packaging and marketing across varied industries, including automotive, food and beverages. At AGNE, she will be responsible for managing the account of one of the firm’s big name automotive clients.

Michelle said: “I’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running across the whole account – working with marketing teams nationwide to provide an excellent service. My job is to offer the highest level of customer service to our clients and provide them with a dedicated point of contact with access to support and advice for all their print and marketing needs.”

Director Sean Costigan said: “We are excited to have Michelle on board in this period of growth. Her role will allow us to expand the team further to better manage some of our contracts. It also gives us scope to develop our services in the automotive industry.”

Michelle added: “It’s great to be a part of the team at AGNE and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join a sector that matches my skills and experience perfectly.”
