Tees Valley “education advocate” launches dedicated tuition agency
Parents and students located in the Tees Valley will now be able to find a “quality” in-home tutor in the local area.
Following the launch of Top Class Tutor, an agency dedicated to providing a wide selection of experienced tutors to parents looking to enhance the education of their children.
Top Class Tutor is the creation of Stockton-on-Tees resident and “education advocate” Noreen Ahmed, who found that with the rising demand for tutoring, parents in the region were “struggling to find quality tutors” to support their child’s learning goals.
Noreen explained: “Face-to-face and one-to-one tuition has been found to not only increase learning outcomes, but also helps pupils to develop essential life-skills like communication and building relationships, as well as motivating the student to perform to their full potential. Online tuition simply cannot offer this personalised service.
“Our research revealed that parents were having to spend hours searching for tutors online to assess their suitability and to make sure they were appropriately vetted. Tutoring is an unregulated industry where anyone can set themselves up with a profile online.”
Top Class Tutor seeks to remove the difficulties in finding a quality tutor. The agency liaises with the parent to identify their child’s needs in order to match them with a local tutor. Tuition is delivered face to face and in the student’s home. Only “experienced and vetted” tutors are used, covering a range of subjects.
Top Class Tutor is currently looking to engage with experienced tutors in all subjects and levels from Key Stages 1 through to A-Level to join them.
A spokesperson added: “Tutors should preferably have at least two years teaching experience, but University students and new graduates will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.”
