London based recruitment specialist “leads the way with latest tech innovation”
Timberseed, a London based recruitment and talent advisory practise, has been using the “latest innovations” to help it supercharge its practise, where it specialises in recruiting Russell Group graduates and early career professionals for client facing roles predominantly in SaaS and Fintech industries.
Timberseed’s co-founder Rupert Deering is “all about championing new innovations that really make a difference”. Now integrated into its daily operations, Timberseed also uses Client Experience Plus service (CX+), a fully bespoke and in-depth recruitment product that compliments its needs and keeps it ahead of the curve.
Rupert commented: “CX+ is where we have a dedicated team of consultants consulting on the recruitment process, from tailoring a specific search, to post onboarding advice and support. We have built our own cadence and follow up tool called timberscript, which automates email follow ups by detecting language written in an email.
“It ensures we consistently follow up, and no opportunity is missed. We’ve also built our own MI dashboards, which gives us real time business information of activity across the whole business.
“We champion new tools and technologies, and constantly look for how we can gain that extra percent. We were one of the very first customers for Odro, Sourcewhale and Sourcebreaker; all three are now market leaders in their fields. I’m constantly looking for new game-changing tech that will improve our efficiencies and service offering.
“The role of technology in recruitment is very important. Staying organised is critical, and technology allows you to keep on top of important tasks, and work more productively.”
For recruitment, utilising the right technology can make the difference between “leading the herd and falling to the wayside”. This is something that Rupert has implemented into Timberseed’s consultative approach, where the team frequently utilises technology to make hundreds of calls, logs and outreach activity much more efficient.
He concluded: “We currently use a number of programs, software and services to streamline our operations.
“At present, we use Sourcewhale for automated email cadences, which tracks open rates, responses and successes, as well as search tools like Sourcebreaker and Linkedin recruiter. For prospecting, we turn to Rocketreach, which helps us get the best contact information for particular companies.”
