Showcasing the best of university apprenticeships

Interested in university apprenticeships but not sure where to start? The University of Sunderland is hosting an apprenticeship showcase event, which will tell you all you need to know!

Bringing together the best of business and professional apprenticeships, this is the first of many showcase events this year, planned by the University’s apprenticeship team.

A day of interactive sessions will be held on Thursday 6th July, at the university’s riverside Sir Tom Cowie Campus, aimed at providing information and support to learning and development leaders.

This event will help employers to navigate the development routes available to the workforce, to further support training and progression, and to understand how to implement these effectively across multiple teams/roles.

The event will include:

• Apprenticeship journey
• Portfolio overview of advanced, higher and degree apprenticeships
• Workshops
• Apprentice project showcase
• Campus tour
• Lunch and networking

You will meet academic leads, who have extensive industry experience and a profound influence on research and knowledge exchange within key areas and specialisms. This expertise provides valuable knowledge and experience for our apprentices and complements their work-based learning.

The event will also showcase some of the inspiring degree apprentices at the University of Sunderland. They will take you through their apprenticeship journey, discuss the projects they work on, and how they have implemented these within their company and what impact they have had as a result.

• Team Leader and Supervisor
• Learning and Skills Teacher
• Teacher
• Public Health
• Social Work, Community and Youth Work
• Digital Technology and Business Admin

We hope this event will help you explore how to best utilise levy funding to upskill and develop existing staff and support the recruitment of new talent within your teams.
