Midlands based Advanced appoints Katie Obi as Chief People Officer
Leading sector-focussed SaaS software company, Advanced, has today announced that Katie Obi has been appointed Chief People Officer to create innovative, forward-thinking people strategies that put Advanced on the map as a destination employer.
According to its own Annual Business Trends Report of 6,600 respondents, the number one challenge for organisations right now is attracting and retaining talent. The talent landscape has changed dramatically as we face into a brave new hybrid working world dealing with post Brexit changes and growing skills shortages, with concerns around burnout and employee wellbeing. As part of its transformation to scale the business over the next three years Advanced is investing to meet those challenges head with new programmes around skills, learning and development to ensure it has the very best talent to supercharge its future growth, meet its ambitious goals and exceed its customers’ expectations.
Katie brings over twenty years’ experience in transforming and aligning people and business strategies working in technology businesses. She has a strong track record in delivering value throughout the employee lifecycle ensuring investment in skills, learning and development are at the heart of an organisation’s approach. Katie previously held the role of Chief People Officer at tech start-up Beamery and before that Chief People and Transformation Officer at Rizing, a leading SAP consulting firm. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a Senior Certified Practitioner of the Society for Human Resource Management.
