Builder breaks ground on £13 million development
A housebuilder has started work on a £13 million development.
Homes by Carlton has broken ground on Saxon Vale, in Sadberge, near Darlington.
Bosses say the 46-home scheme will feature three to six-bedroom properties and help meet “high demand” in the area.
They add it will create around 30 jobs.
Homes by Carlton is working with Karbon Homes’ Next Level Developments on the scheme, with the latter providing funding to drive the venture forward.
Simon Walker, Homes by Carlton managing director, said: “Breaking ground on the site is a major milestone.
“This exciting development will create luxurious homes that will further enhance this wonderful area.”
He added the housebuilder will donate £50,000 towards a children’s play area on the site.
Saxon Vale adds to Homes by Carlton’s North East portfolio, which already includes Woodberry Park, in Staindrop, near Barnard Castle, and Beauford Park, in Witton Gilbert, near Durham City.
Lee Bradford, sales manager, added: “The location offers all the perks of village life, including beautiful countryside views, while being very commuter-friendly.”
