Legal minds meet HR hearts in partnership
A North East law firm and HR consultancy are expanding a joint initiative designed to support local businesses with legal and employment advice.
Sunderland-based Richard Reed Solicitors and Blyth-headquartered Inspired HR first teamed up in 2022 when employment law solicitor Kat Moody and HR expert Nikki Masterman connected, with the two firms launching a programme of webinars and events covering HR and employment law trends.
Aimed at business leaders and managers, the online sessions break down complex changes in regulation, offering practical insights for real-world situations.
The partnership has also given rise to a new venture called Empower Your Voice, an in-person event series focused on building confidence in public speaking.
Delivered in collaboration with AM Training, the community-led sessions are open to speakers of all levels and are designed to offer a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.
Kat and Nikki bring decades of experience and say the collaboration reflects their shared goal of helping businesses thrive through expert advice.
Kat said: “Inspired HR perfectly complements the ethos at Richard Reed Solicitors, and the commitment to work in collaboration has been a real game-changer not only in the events sphere but in terms of the added value and the development of additional opportunities to align our services in our day-to-day client work.
“Nikki was one of the first business connections I made at Richard Reed, and from the onset our shared ethos was evident.”
Nikki, founder and chief executive of Inspired HR, added: “We go beyond simply ticking boxes – we're committed to building authentic, lasting relationships.
“Real relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and Richard Reed Solicitors are proactively and equally committed to educating businesses to give them the knowledge to aid their navigation of the regulatory HR and legal landscape.
“Working in collaboration with Kat and the team at Richard Reed Solicitors is a natural fit, and we look forward to continuing the partnership with further developments in the pipeline.”
