Knights 'set to charge on' after revenue lift
A national legal and professional services firm has hailed its growth potential following a revenue boost.
Knights says it is set to “drive forward” after notching income and profit upticks.
Bosses say the company is primed to record a 30 per cent revenue rise to £103.2 million in the half-year to October 31, with underlying pre-tax profit 12 per cent better off at £16.4 million.
They add the increases leave the firm poised to return to organic growth.
The rises follow a bumper period of growth for the business – whose UK-wide office portfolio includes sites in Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham and Oxford – which included multi-million-pound moves for Thursfields Legal and IBB Law.
It also swooped for Essex-based Birkett Long and Kent and Sussex’s Rix & Kay Solicitors LLP.
Chief executive David Beech, pictured above, said: “The group has delivered a strong first-half performance.
“We have continued to scale and have integrated recent acquisitions while retaining our strong financial discipline.
“We expect the second-half of the year to benefit from recent hires and a full period contribution from the recent acquisitions.
“Having put in place an extended operational management structure, we are confident we have the right team to drive the business forward.”
Knights’ office estate stretches across the UK, from Carlisle and Stockton-on-Tees to Leeds, Sheffield and York.
It has further bases in Brighton, Cheltenham, Chester, Leicester, Portsmouth, Stoke, Weybridge and Wilmslow.
It recently unveiled a Thames Valley expansion through a deal to take over the 12th floor of The Blade high-rise, in Reading.
