North East PR duo join forces
A North East PR partnership has been unveiled.
Sunderland-based Marriott Communications and CgPR, based in Newcastle, have launched MC PR, a new collaboration designed to deliver high-impact PR, creative campaigns and reputation consultancy.
Although both firms will continue to operate independently, the partnership brings together decades of experience across culture, charity, hospitality, lifestyle, global development and the public sector.
MC PR combines the strengths of founders Samuel Marriott-Dowding and Chrissie Pringle, merging strategic insight with creative storytelling and hands-on delivery.
Chrissie brings 25 years of regional, national and international media expertise, having led award-winning campaigns for luxury brands, visitor attractions and major corporates.
She said: “Our clients get the benefit of two agencies in one – without the complexity.
“With MC PR, clients receive senior experience, national reach, and hands-on delivery, wrapped into a single, seamless service.”
Samuel adds extensive experience delivering campaigns for organisations including the United Nations, the Scottish Government, The Labour Party and national charities, alongside projects across culture and high-growth business sectors.
He added: “MC PR is built for organisations that are both bold and brave.
“We’ve created a model that blends strategy, creativity, and execution – helping clients influence, connect, and evolve.”
The new partnership builds on the pair’s previous collaboration on cultural and regional campaigns, including the 2025 North East International Film Festival, which delivered 75 million global publication views and coverage at regional, national, international and broadcast levels.
