My Delhi named among UK’s best
A North East restaurant group is celebrating national recognition as it continues its multi-site expansion plans.
My Delhi has been included in the Top 100 Asian Restaurants in the UK at the Asian Catering Federation Awards 2026, held at the House of Commons in London.
The accolade comes as the business marks its seventh anniversary, having expanded from its Newcastle roots into a multi-site restaurant brand with locations in Sunderland and Leicester, alongside plans for a flagship Leeds opening.
Founded in 2019, My Delhi has built its reputation around a modern take on Indian cuisine, combining regional flavours with a premium casual dining experience.
The awards ceremony brought together hospitality leaders, politicians and international guests to celebrate excellence across the UK’s Asian restaurant sector.
My Delhi’s latest recognition adds to a growing list of achievements for the business, which previously won BBC programme Britain’s Top Takeaway, as well as being named in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards 2025.
Elahi Amin, director of My Delhi Restaurants Ltd, said: “To be recognised at the House of Commons, especially as we celebrate seven years of My Delhi, is a proud moment for our entire team.
“What started in Newcastle has grown into something far bigger, and this recognition reflects the passion, resilience, and belief of everyone behind the brand.”
