Newcastle Hospitals Charity launches CSR-driven Business Club

Newcastle Hospitals Charity (NHC) is launching a business club to connect with local businesses with a vision to support the health and wellbeing of local communities through collaboration and entrepreneurial success.

The charity is encouraging members to show their commitment to corporate social responsibility by becoming part of a network dedicated to creating lasting social impact.

The NHC Business Club provides new opportunities for companies of all sizes to proudly support Newcastle Hospitals as well as contributing to two key charity funds that support the work of The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and The Great North Children’s Hospital. As part of the club, businesses work with peers to grow their own network, which helps to grow awareness of the charity.

Shelley Brunsdon, Corporate Fundraising Lead for the charity said: “This brand-new partnership proposition has been created to offer regional businesses the opportunity to demonstrate their support for NHC, the official charity for Newcastle Hospitals, whilst showcasing their brand to a significant audience of NHS staff, hospital patients and their families and other businesses.

“Every family in the North East has benefitted from the dedication and expertise of medical staff at one of our great hospitals and businesses tell us that they would like to recognise that in some way.

“By joining the club, businesses will provide a regular income stream for the charity which allows for forward planning as well as having a network of supporters to turn to in the promotion of our work. In return the charity can promote its members to its own community and provide an opportunity for member-to-member exchange.”

Membership starts from only £10 per month with benefits including:

  • Exclusive access to a calendar of events throughout the year
  • Official Partnership designation along with bespoke logo
  • Newcastle Hospitals Charity website business club member listing and link to own website
  • Newsletter and social media presence to promote the club and its members

Burnetts Solicitors based in Newcastle city centre were the first to sign up to the members club as a proud supporter of the charity. Paul Brown, Serious Injury Partner at Burnetts Solicitors said: "Through our work supporting people and families following life-changing injuries, we see first-hand the difference that excellent healthcare can make.

“That's one of the reasons we're proud to become the first member of the Newcastle Hospitals Charity Business Club. It's a great opportunity for businesses across the region to come together to support their local hospitals while building valuable connections with one another. We're delighted to be involved from the outset and look forward to supporting the charity as the Business Club develops."
