ASCO says its new Wilton Centre office will boost its presence in Teesside's energy and industrial ecosystem

Industrial management firm grows with Tees base

An industrial operations management firm has expanded its estate with a new office.

ASCO has opened a North East base.

The firm says the hub, set in the Wilton Centre, near Redcar, will “strengthen its local presence in one of the UK’s most active energy, industrial and infrastructure clusters”.

It adds the office will act as a hub for ASCO’s operations across central UK and the North East, supporting work across projects including Net Zero Teesside and the Hornsea 3 and Dogger Bank offshore windfarms.

The operator also provides quayside management services at Teesside’s Steel River Quay.

Ryan Thompson, ASCO business development manager, who will oversee the Teesside office, said: “This is an important step and reflects the scale of activity we are already supporting across the region.

“Teesside is playing a major role in the UK’s changing energy and industrial landscape, from decarbonisation and offshore wind to defence, port, marine and complex logistics activity.

“By establishing a permanent presence at the Wilton Centre, we are placing our people and expertise closer to the customers, infrastructure and partners driving that growth.”

Allan Scott, ASCO UK managing director, added: “Teesside and the wider North East have a long industrial heritage.

“We are seeing that evolve again as the region builds on its established strengths, takes on a bigger role in the UK’s energy transition and responds to growing opportunities in defence.”
