Packaging firm looks to box clever with jobs drive
A sixth-generation packaging maker has launched a recruitment drive as it bids to wrap up future growth.
Roberts Mart & Co says it wants more than 25 permanent staff.
Bosses say roles will cover printing, slitting production, engineering and sales departments, adding the move will “strengthen” the Leeds-based company’s “continued expansion”.
It comes after the 1852-founded firm committed to more than £18 million manufacturing outlays, which have included a £3.2 million equipment venture.
It also previously announced a deal with Pronova Packaging Systems.
William Roberts, managing director at the 260-plus staff company, said: “Our recent investments demonstrate our commitment to growth, and we are now recruiting to support the increased demand from customers.
“This is an exciting growth period.
“We are passionate about championing the next generation and creating future talent that will support continued growth in the sector.”
