New Recruit
The Sunderland Business Network has recently recruited a young and vibrant intern who hopes he can further aid toward our development.
Will Wood, 22, a graduate from the University of Sunderland officially starts his role under the title of Marketing Executive on Monday 13th October.
He comes in under the University of Sunderland’s graduate internship scheme, which offers former students the chance to take up a 6 month paid vacancy in a number of fields.
Will had this to say with regard to his new role: “I’ve been fortunate enough to be given this opportunity, one that I will do my best to prosper within.
“At the moment I am getting to grips with everything, gaining insights into how to the network is currently run and how improvements can be made.”
With the financial year drawing to a close Will hopes to be securing the membership of the majority of the network’s 108 existing members for another 12 months, whilst also building on this with the acquisition of new ones.
He said: “Hopefully all of the current members stick with us for another year, with the network growing all the time and the service we provide constantly being improved, it’s of great benefit to do so for the customer.
“I want to get back to basics and do some good old fashioned market research by asking directly what the existing members want and feel is good about the network, so we can build on this and strengthen for future.”
If you have any further queries or want to meet Will, he will be in attendance at the Sunderland Business Network’s next event on the 27 April at the Evolve Business Centre, Rainton Bridge, doors open at 6pm.
