This week’s Yorkshire appointments

Nick Reed has joined business rescue and recovery specialist Begbies Traynor as a partner in its Leeds office. A chartered accountant and insolvency practitioner who spent 28 years at PwC, Nick has previously been president of the West Yorkshire Society of Chartered Accountants and is also a former chair of insolvency trade body R3 in Yorkshire.

Leeds law firm Clarion has appointed Stephanie Kaye as a law costs draftsman in its costs and litigation funding team. She joins from wealth management group Pearson Jones.

Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield has added to its management team with the appointment of a new commercial manager. Ian Smith has joined the airport team having previously worked in the commercial department at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and as business development manager at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Expanding Eurosafe Solutions, the specialist fall protection company based in Sheffield, has appointed five new staff. They are Jonathan Maycock (3D design modeler) and Lloyd Cooper (junior design technician), Jonathan Vaughan (IT administrator), Josh Dillon (trainee designer and Sam Wakeling (trainee sales estimator).

Sheffield Hallam University has appointed Professor Simon Bromley to the role of Assistant Dean, responsible for academic development in the University’s Faculty of Development and Society. Professor Bromley will join the University in January 2014. He is currently senior lecturer in politics and international studies at the Open University.

Yeadon-based Pancredit, a market leader in intelligent, automated loan origination, credit sourcing and business intelligence solutions, has strengthened its board with the appointment of Graham Donald as commercial director.

Open Communications, the Wakefield PR agency based at Nostell Priory Estate Yard, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Naomi Stafford as account manager.
