Taylor&Emmet reviews busy year in employment law
Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is bringing its popular series of employment law seminars to a close for another year with a roundup of new legislation affecting local businesses.
The firm’s expert solicitors are inviting people managers to its Annual Employment Law Review to ensure they are prepared for next year’s changing legal landscape.
Held at Sheffield’s Leopold Hotel on December 3, this free breakfast event will explain how the latest employment laws will affect business owners and managers and the practical significance of key tribunal decisions.
Hosted by Taylor&Emmet’s experienced employment law team, the interactive seminar will look at how to plan for shared parental leave, the aftermath of recent holiday pay decisions, reform of tribunals and case law on disability discrimination and redundancies. It will also discuss to the changes coming into force next year and their impact on staff.
David Poddington, Taylor&Emmet’s head of employment law, said: “2014 has been a challenging 12 months for people managers and there are yet more major changes on the horizon that will have significant implications for employers. Our friendly, yet informative, training events continue to garner support from across the city region and we are looking forward to finishing off another successful series by making sure delegates are equipped for the year ahead.”
Taylor&Emmet’s seminar will include an opportunity for delegates to network and ask questions of the firm’s expert solicitors. As demand for places is expected to be high, reservations are limited to two representatives per organisation.
