Durham's Fram Wall development names contractor ahead of construction

Construction firm Brims has been named as the contractor for the first speculative-built office development to be built in Durham City in over a decade.

The Hanro Group and iMpeC Developments named the Sunderland-based construction company to work on The Fram Wall office building, a project that is expected to create up to 150 jobs.

Situated adjacent to Durham’s mainline railway station near Framwellgate Peth, the 12,000 sq ft three storey development will comprise a range of open-plan Grade A offices and flexible workspaces.

The naming of Brims as the project’s contractor follows the firm’s transformation of Durham’s Old Shire Hall into Hotel Indigo as well as the construction of Liveworks office on Newcastle’s Quayside and Tombola headquarters in Sunderland.
