Simon Donnelly, Perfect Storm

Digital agency Perfect Storm has appointed Simon Donnelly as digital producer.

Simon brings with him seven years of experience and most recently held the role of project manager at TwentySix.

Adam Errington, who founded Perfect Storm with Dave Nutter, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Simon, who brings a wealth of experience to the team. He’s already got his teeth stuck into some exciting briefs from our new clients”

Simon added: “I was really keen to join the team at Perfect Storm from the first conversations we had. I could feel the drive, ambition and eagerness to approach things differently, working with people who valued their relationships and placed emphasis on integrity and transparency. That really resonated with me.

“I bring with me a wealth of experience across project management and retained services, which I’m keen to share, but I’m also looking forward to continuing to learn from those around me and the opportunities ahead.

Mark Taylor, Multitask Personnel

Specialist recruitment consultancy Multitask Personnel has appointed Mark Taylor as recruitment associate.

Mark, who has a number of years’ experience working in industry in construction and building maintenance, brings an additional ‘client side’ skill set to the team as it continues to grow amid renewed activity across the sector.

Working on permanent construction positions, Mark will be responsible for growing the candidate database as he works towards becoming a 360 recruitment consultant.

Mark commented: “I’m delighted to join Multitask Personnel and to develop a career in recruitment.

“My experience of working within the construction industry gives me additional knowledge of how businesses in the sector operate, which will not only help employers as I know how they operate, but also help candidates as I will be able to identify the key personality traits and skill sets required to work in the industry.

“My aim over the next six to twelve months is to become an all-round recruitment consultant by utilising my contacts and understanding of the sector, whilst learning from the experienced recruiters here at Multitask, to repay the faith Claire and the team have put in me. I’m relishing the opportunity.”

Irwin Mitchell has made a trio of new senior hires at its Leeds office.

The private client team has welcomed Elizabeth Pearson, Fiona Wheeler and Helen Dawson as three new associates.

STEP-qualified Elizabeth has joined the team from Wrigleys, and has over nine years’ experience in private client law.

Elizabeth specialises in advising family business owners, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals in respect of succession planning and asset protection, including the formation of trusts and Family Investment Companies. She is also experienced in advising trustees in relation to complex trust structures and the reorganisation of family trusts.

Elizabeth commented: “I’m delighted to join a firm, and team, that shares my passion for building lasting relationships with clients, and providing practical solutions to their family, and business, succession needs. I’m really looking forward to working with Andrea and the team to provide a first class service to our business clients in the region.”

Joining the Leeds team from Hursts accountants, Fiona is a tax adviser, STEP, CTA and ATT qualified and specialises in providing advice on a range of taxes to private clients and business owners including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax.

Fiona is also working closely with the firm’s tax teams in London, Sheffield and Chichester, supporting clients across the country with tax advice on succession planning, divorce, disputes and employment related issues. She also has experience advising on Family Investment Companies (FICs).

Fiona said: “It’s a pleasure to be joining Irwin Mitchell and a team that has clearly grown in size and importance along with the development of the city of Leeds. I’m really looking forward to getting started in working with new colleagues in the city and across the country as we all look for a fresh start after what has been a challenging few months.”

With over 10 years’ experience in private client law, Helen was formerly at Knights and advises business and property owners, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals on succession planning and wealth protection. Helen also sits on the STEP Yorkshire committee and is a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly.

Helen commented: “Joining Irwin Mitchell was an easy choice to make. I already knew a lot about the firm through working with Andrea and it will be great to work more closely with her and the team as we move in to what is the start of a period of growth and opportunity for the Leeds office and supporting our clients in the wider region.”

Investment non-profit NorthInvest has appointed Jordan Dargue to its board of directors.

As an innovation and enterprise mentor and advisory board member, entrepreneur Jordan has helped startups, early-stage and high-growth businesses across the North.

Jordan commented: “Being asked to join the NorthInvest Board of Directors is an exciting opportunity and has come at a pivotal time for NorthInvest and for myself as I take on a more active role in developing and delivering the NorthInvest strategy.
