Law firm in 'milestone' cross-Pennine expansion
A law firm has expanded with a “massive milestone” office investment.
Ison Harrison has moved into Manchester.
The office represents the firm’s first non-Yorkshire hub in its 48-year history, with bosses hailing the “huge step” as “the natural next progression” in its growth blueprint.
They add the Manchester base will initially focus on property, new build and commercial work, but will expand services “following future recruitment”.
Based at No.1 Spinningfields, the branch – which is the 27th base in Ison Harrison’s portfolio – is led by new build property team partner Niamh Wilson.
She said: “Having a high-quality workspace in the centre of the city’s commercial district gives us the perfect environment for collaborating with clients and professional partners.
“We arrive in Manchester with a highly skilled team and look forward to delivering high-quality legal support across the North West.”
The opening builds on recent progress at the 450-plus-staff firm, which, since becoming a fully employee-owned business in 2022, says it has nearly doubled turnover, with revenues projected to exceed £38 million by the end of 2026.
Jonathan Wearing, managing director, added: “Our expansion across the North has always been driven by where our clients need us.
“As an employee-owned law firm, every single member of the team is personally and financially invested in our collective success, which naturally fosters a deeply client-focused culture.
“The model has given us the stability and ambition to scale rapidly.”
The Manchester move comes just weeks after Ison Harrison opened a base in Penistone, near Barnsley, and last year expanded into Teesside with a Middlesbrough office.
